Pastor Rashard Hollman was born and raised in Detroit, MI where he received his training in ministry at Third New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor E.L. Branch. After serving as a youth leader for years, he accepted his call into ministry. Upon preaching his initial sermon in June of 2002, God uprooted him from Detroit to Dothan, AL to serve as Youth Minister at Greater Beulah Baptist Church under the leadership of his uncle Rev. R. Paul Hollman. Though serving as Youth Minister he was also active in visiting the sick and caring for senior citizens.
As Youth Minister, Pastor Hollman developed YouthFest; an annual event that saw as many as 500-700 youth celebrate their gifts and talents. He also led Vacation Bible School which saw as many as 300 students that participated for the whole week.
Following five years of sharpening his gifts, God elevated him to the position of Pastor of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and Popular Springs Baptist Church, Abbeville, AL in June of 2007. Pastor Hollman designed many conferences and workshops that empowered men, women, and children to pursue God in a new way.
Pastor Hollman also pursued a higher education by attending the Baptist College of Florida in Graceville, FL. where his focus was Theology and Christian Counseling.
In January 2010, Pastor Hollman began a new season of ministry as he became the pastor of St. James Baptist Church Eastlake where he uses his unique ability to reach seniors, youth and everybody in between with his cutting edge delivery of God's Word. Combining biblical principles with relevant and revelatory teaching and preaching allows his message to empower and inspire those who are in need of a Now Word from God. His commitment to develop the leader in everyone gives people the opportunity to serve in new ways and in new ministries. His love for all youth impacts the life of young people not only in the church but in the community as well. Under his leadership, St. James has had many conferences and workshops for women; outings and events for men; began an outreach ministry to seniors in East Glenn Rehabilitation Center, volunteering at local schools and also book reading for local daycares. That’s what makes St. James the place “Where LOVE Happens"!
